MOPS at CTCC started on Friday, September 7, 2007 (9:30-11:30)! We had a great meeting with many moms and kids! Please join us for our next meeting: Friday, September 21! (or for Saturday-only moms: September 15)
“What MOPS has provided for me… is a welcome break; a chance to make new friends; the opportunity to know I’m not the only mom who goes through the struggles and joys of raising young children…”
WHAT IS MOPS?
MOPS is about… • Celebrating motherhood • Meeting needs • Making connections • Experiencing God’s love… through relationships and resources.
Come to MOPS to be refreshed and inspired, make new friendships, and discover resources to help with the challenges of motherhood! A MOPS group is a dynamic, inviting environment where women can come--just as they are--to build friendships, be encouraged and gain practical parenting strategies… all while their children are lovingly cared for in the MOPPETS program.
MOPS groups meet in churches all over the world. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire: to be the best mothers they can be. MOPS also encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, the www.mops.org website, and MOPS International Membership.
WHO?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children ages 0-5. MOPS recognizes that infancy through kindergarten years are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS at CTCC will mostly use English, with available translations to Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Cantonese. We warmly welcome mommies who don't usually come to Canaan Church too.
WHERE?
We meet in the Fellowship Hall at Canaan Taiwanese Christian Church, 1904 Silverwood Ave., Mountain View, CA (click here for map). See the meeting schedule below.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
If possible, please pre-register. Membership fee will be collected with registraton form. Registration forms are available online (see above) and at church. Thank you!
We welcome you, your kids, and your friends to MOPS at Canaan!
For more information or to join the MOPS email list, contact us at ctccmopsinfo@gmail.com or talk to Shirley Tai (English) or Vanessa Lin (Mandarin/Taiwanese). |

While moms attend MOPS, their children can attend MOPPETS, our children’s program for ages 0-5.
Although babies and children are welcome to stay with moms during MOPS meetings, moms may have a more relaxing time if they allow the MOPPETS staff to care for their kids during MOPS meetings. Older kids are welcome to be MOPPETS helpers, or they can stay in homework rooms during the MOPS meetings.
If you are available on the 1st and 3rd Friday mornings of each month, we would love to have your help as a MOPPETS volunteer! Each volunteer will work as part of a team supervising a MOPPETS class (babies, toddlers, or preschoolers) with the curriculum, materials, and training provided for you by our MOPPETS director, Annie Lee. More information is available on the MOPPETS Volunteer Form (available above in English or Chinese) or tell Luwen or Annie if you're interested.
